Drifting from place to place.
Not to fast, not to slow,
Always at his own pace.
Always going with the flow.

The man floating by balloon.
He has loved and he has lost.
Accompanied by a mournful tune.
Never delivered stories at a cost.

He sang of places near and far.
Stories great and small.
He has even ventured towards the stars.
The man sang to one and all.

I spoke with him once upon a time.
I asked him. "What should I do?"
And with a smile so sublime
He answered simply with "Do what you want to."

dear sarah, yesterday I tried to swallow the sun. it burned me up on the inside until even my skin was hot to the touch, and I thought of you.
